Paul ben-haim competition 2016

Once every two years, young musicians from the ages of  13 to 24 are invited  to compete in this internationally well known competition establieshed 1984 in memory of the well known Israeli composer and teacher Paul Ben Haim. All instruments are welcome, including voice.

The competition is focused on Israeli compositions and excellence of performance of the musicians. The purpose is to introduce and encourage young people to play Israeli compositions. 

There are two stages in the competition. In the first and the second stages the judges  hold auditions by via CCTV.  The last stage is a big concert, held in Tel Aviv & open to the public, to be attended by alll competitors, from Israel and abroad, a special award is specified for non Israelis - $2,000 

The competition judges are selected from the top musicians in Israel. 

The competition is organized by Youth and Music Israel in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and other musical organizations in Israel.
